Everything around us is in ruins. Everyone around us is no longer here. It hurts.

And I believe that in the midst of the ruin, the fire, and the smoke, when I look up, I see stars.

And when I see stars, peeking through, shimmering in the darkness, I know things will get better. I know eventually I will be pulled out of the darkness to be fully embraced by a shimmering, loving light

But in this moment, I am still very, very sad.
